Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Plant Quality Engineer to work with one of our top clients, in Houston, Texas who is a Fortune 500 company. This person is going to report directly to the Business Unit Manager and Divisional Quality Manager on a day-to-day basis. They will act as a management representative for quality, manage department resources and coordinate the implementation of the quality management system within the business unit and locations to cost-effectively facilitate quality and compliance. They will be in charge of interacting with multiple teams daily to take care of processing and receiving as it pertains to the clients' products. This person will also be working and interacting with external customers dealing with inquiries about their products, returns, etc. They will have full responsibility of the quality management system, dealing with certification status and internal audits. This person will be responsible for managing other people and growing the business unit. The ideal candidate is looking for growth within this position and eager to learn.

Required Skills & Experience

-B.S. Degree in an Engineering or related discipline

-3-5 years of Quality, Engineering or related experience

-Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QS-9000 as applicable for automotive sector) or any Quality Management/ Business Management System

-Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)

-Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices

-Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

-Understanding of quality process, office process and production is key

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry

-Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is preferred
