Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Property Accounting Manager to join the Corporate Accounting team with one of our Entertainment & Hospitality clients in Coppell, TX! The responsibilities of the Property Accounting Manager will include:

* Overseeing 2 direct reports.

* Managing lease and fixed asset accounting.

* Review signed leases and amendments for accounting impacts, review & approve lease classification, lease liability & right of use asset set up and maintenance as well as review of related reconciliations.

* Review and verify all lease related payments and reconciliations.

* Review fixed asset additions and retirements, depreciation expense, gain/loss on disposals and all related reconciliations.

* Maintain the company's fixed asset policy and ensure it is in compliance with GAAP. Including assisting and guiding other departments in determining what costs qualify as capitalizable.

* Prepare and record internal capitalized compensation costs.

* Prepares account reconciliations for areas assigned

* Review/prepare quarterly and annual schedules and analysis for auditors/tax consultants

* Ensure company is in compliance with internal SOX controls for areas assigned.

Assists in the development of Company accounting policies and process improvement initiatives at store and corporate levels.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

* 6 years of corporate accounting experience including a minimum of 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience with a company of at least 5,000 employees.

* Lease and fixed assets accounting experience and familiarity with ASC 842 accounting principles.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, intermediate level of experience with Excel.

Professional experience using Peoplesoft OR Workday.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Requirements:

* Previous accounting experience with a company in the retail or restaurant industry.

* Previous accounting experience with a company with over 20,000 employees.

* Advanced knowledge of Workday.

* MBA.
