Insight Global is looking for a Technical Writer to join the IT organization at a large hospital system in Dallas, TX. This individual will help Prepare knowledge articles to communicate complex and technical information more easily. The knowledgebase (KB) articles will be used by the IT Help Desk Agents to support customer issues. This resource will be expected to help define the knowledge management strategy for our knowledge base and maintain high quality, up-to-date, and searchable content for audiences of varying skill level. There is a large backlog of KB articles that are out of date or not correct on processes. This person will also be helping dwindle the backlog, and help close gaps in incorrect KB article processes (re-writing them, uploading in sharepoint).
- 5-7 years of experience as a Technical Writer working on Knowledge Bases, SOPs, training manuals, etc for IT groups
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow and Sharepoint (using every day), any similar tools are fine as well as long as quick learner
- Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill.
- Excellent writing, editing, and strong communication skills, strong attention to detail
- Personality that can work with different groups to get questions answered any way they can to complete priority tasks
