Job Description

Empower Pharmacy is the nation's most advanced compounding pharmacy. A compounding pharmacy creates specialized medications by mixing or in some other way altering ingredients for a fully personalized result. Our goal is to utilize the most up-to-date technology to expand access to quality, affordable medications to all patients and providers. We provide medications for women's and men's health such as menopause, weight management, dermatology, fertility support, acne and hair loss, etc.



Empower Pharmacy is currently 27,000+ medication orders behind for clinics and patients. We need to hire 15 data entry pharmacy technicians as soon as possible to help resolve the backlog. The Data Entry Pharmacy Technician is responsible for accurately entering new pharmacy orders into the pharmacy operations platform in a timely manner. This person will also assist the dispensing team. On average, this person will need to successfully complete 140-160 orders/scripts typed per day.



Duties and Responsibilities

* Accurately types new orders

* Possesses complete and thorough understanding of medications

* Understands prescribed orders for compounded medications

* Maintains production standards and levels

* Performs other work-related duties as deemed appropriate by pharmacists on duty

Required Skills & Experience

* Need to have their Pharmacy Technician license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy

* 1+ years of data entry experience

* Needs to be tech savvy: experience working with technology, computers, electronic medical systems, etc.

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree
