Job Description

A client in the Woodlands is looking for a Server Administrator to join their infrastructure team. The consultant will provide technical and administrative support for server infrastructure and related technologies. Primary duties will include physical enterprise hardware assembly, maintaining system hardware, working on virtual or physical server migrations, operating system upgrades or installations in the on-premises datacenter and within an Azure cloud environment, experience working with Microsoft System Center, performing routine system analysis, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, assisting with audits, participating in compliance testing, and maintaining procedures and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience providing IT administration services managing Windows Servers and Services.



3+ years administering virtual servers in a VMware or Nutanix environment.



Experience performing server operating system and physical server hardware problem diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.



Good understanding of general principles and concepts on Windows server security, Active Directory (managing users and groups), and general TCP/IP networking.



Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

2 years of hands-on experience with HPE Synergy, C7000 blade, and Proliant DL360/DL380 server hardware, and using HPE OneView management console.



Experience managing HPE SAN systems.



Experience with Microsoft SCCM and SCOM.



Good understanding of PowerShell/scripting and automation technologies.



Windows Server, Azure Cloud, and VMware Certifications.
