Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Chemical Engineer to join the Oil, Gas and Chemical group at a top EPC firm. The main goal of this individual is to execute complex assignments by ensuring design activities on projects from conceptual phase through completion are in line with project deliverable. Their technical expertise will be utilized on engineering, procurement, and construction projects of processing facilities throughout the refining, midstream, chemicals, and renewables sectors. Day to day responsibilities include leading development of all process design calculations and develop deliverables such as hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, process simulations, Heat and Material Balances (H&MB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). This engineer will be responsible for all phases of project planning, scheduling, coordination, and maintenance. The ideal individual will be able to collaborate across multiple teams and have the ability to work on multiple projects at a given time.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree of Science in Chemical Engineering or Related degree (ABET Accredited)

- PE Certification

- 7+ Years of Chemical Engineering Experience

- Lead engineer for EPC firm

- Project experience in processing facilities throughout the refining, midstream, chemicals, and renewables sectors

- Proficient knowledge in design, calculations, and design systems.

- Proficient using Microsoft suite

Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers, Detailers, Designers and other offices) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate to accomplish objectives

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in process simulation software (i.e. HYSYS and/or Aspen Plus, HTRI) is preferred.
