Cloud System Administrator

One of the largest U.S. oil and gas companies based in Houston is hiring for a Cloud Systems Administrator to join their Cloud Operations team. This person will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's cloud computing infrastructure on the AWS and Azure platforms. This includes the implementing and managing of the cloud infrastructure, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based virtual servers, and ensuring the security and availability of the infrastructure.

4+ years of experience in cloud administration



Expert understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform



Expert understanding of Configuration as Code (CaC) -- PowerShell



Experience in CICD automation -- GitLab



Expert in Logs Insights query syntax



Expert in AWS observability suites such as CloudWatch Synthetics, RUM, Evidently, and AWS X-Ray



Expert in CloudWatch ServiceLens such as container insights, Lambda insights, contributor insights, application insights, and metric insights



Ability to create custom Dashboards, Reports, Alarms and Notification via AWS ecosystem

Applicable certifications - Terraform Associate certification, AWS certified



Terraform cloud experience



Azure DevOps ADO experience



Previous working experience with Grafana
