About the role:
The Systems Administrator will help develop strategy and create metrics to measure effectiveness of IT Operations. Performs System and application monitoring and performance tuning. They will lead others through influence rather than direct authority. Performs administration activities such as setting user accounts, roles, access, and privileges.
Responsibilities:
* Possess specialist knowledge of operating systems, hardware, applications and software.
* Configure network and building access and termination of access for client and vendor users to ReverseServ, iBridge and other customer accessible applications and IT services. Assign proper licenses and certificates.
* Primary Design, install, and configure VMware ESX, ESXi, within vSphere 4 and 5 environments with Virtual Center management, Citrix based VDI Solution.
* Manage and support Exchange, including Shared Mailboxes and Legal searches.
* Manage and support Active Directory and Azure AD Connect and Single sign-on (SSO).
* Create and update PowerShell scripts necessary for Office 365 and other applications.
* Create and update automations using various scripts, languages and applications.
* Configure, Administer, Manage and Monitor Office 365 services and infrastructure on-premises, in the cloud, and/or hybrid environments.
* Resolve escalated tickets from the Service Desk
* Supply information for audit requests
* Maintain a highly secure system aligned with best practices through proper configuration and system access monitoring.
* Set up preventive maintenance schedules and real-time monitoring for all major applications.
* Work with management on Office365 and other applications to align their growth with the current strategic plan.
* Understand the business's use of each application.
* Create System Designs and Implementation Plans where needed.
* Maintain and update technical documents and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
Must reside in AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KY, MA, MI, NC, NJ, OK, SC, TN, TX
Qualifications:
* 3+ years as a Systems Administrator
* VDI migration experience
* Experience in a cloud environment, preferably AWS
* Experience in an Office 365 environment
* Hands-on experience with VMWare (VCenter, ESXI)
* Experience creating users and setting up groups with Active Directory
* Experience closing tickets and helping with incident management
* Strong communication and ability to multi-task
* Someone who is a go-getter, has a willingness to learn and won't shy away from a fast-paced environment
