An employer in Downtown Houston is looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join their Accounting team. This person will be responsible for managing the revenue distribution and royalties for operated and non-operated properties. They will oversee the month-end close, cash application process, and accounts receivable balances resulting from revenue bookings. They will manage the marketing and production accounting teams, so previous supervisory/management experience is important. They will coordinate with several departments to ensure timely and accurate payment and reporting. This person will act as a subject matter expert with respect to Revenue Accounting projects and system implementations.
8+ years of Oil and Gas Production and Revenue experience
2+ years of supervisor/management experience
Technical accounting skills (accounting systems, GAAP, financial analysis)
Knowledge of Excalibur or Bolo
Experience with SAP PRA and SAP Financial
Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups, Power Pivots, H-lookups, complicated spreadsheets)
Experience with System Implementations
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
