An employer in Houston is seeking a Full Stack .NET (core) Developer. This person will be developing and supporting external facing and internal applications for the business. The work will be a 50/50 split between front-end and back-end development. Their day will consist of Agile Scrum meetings, working on tickets out of the back log and fixing code in sprints, as well as creating new applications and adding new functions to existing applications. The client has legacy .Net systems written with VB.NET, but all new code has been written in C# using .Net Core. They latest objecting is a new one stop shop for all software needs which uses React on the front end and C# restful services for the business logic. This team is actively using RabbitMQ for messaging, and is looking towards developing applications using CI/CD to establish pipelines in DevOps and using Jest for unit testing in react. While most of the existing applications that need to be maintained and debugged are web applications that support the external clients and the internal workers of various departments, this person will also be supporting all applications within the business. The client is in the process of building out their development and QA team so the ideal candidate will be expected to operate with little supervision and help mentor any junior developers that join the team.
5+ years of full stack development experience with .NET/C#/VB.NET
Experience designing application widgets with custom functionalities
Service Oriented Architecture - the conceptual understanding of developing Web API's and microservices
Experience developing with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience developing with .NET Core
Hands-on ReactJS development experience (understand the different libraries, JavaScript, Typescript, how it talks to the backend)
Experience with Azure, specifically Azure Active Directory
Experience developing applications using CI/CD
React development experience for the front end and Jest experience unit testing package for React
Rabbit MQ or any other open-source message-broker software experience
