Job Description
A midstream oil and gas company in Houston, TX, is looking for a Gas Plant Scheduler / Accountant to join their team. This person will be responsible for recording various activities for Midstream gathering and processing assets including reviewing contracts, analyzing volumes and gas analysis along with preparing reports. As part of the operational analysis of the gathering systems and associated plants, the candidate will develop processes and controls, test systems and interact with customers, upstream and downstream departments, and the commercial staff. Their accounting functions will include monthly close processes and variance analysis. Scheduling responsibilities will include day to day production scheduling along with monitoring all physical imbalance exposure. Key point of contact for daily scheduling activities including: nominations, confirmations, scheduling and allocations of natural gas and natural gas liquids associated with gas plant allocations on various company assets. Required Skills & Experience
3+ years' experience with rich gas systems utilizing TIPS, TIES, Waterfield OR any other in-house plant accounting systems heavily using spreadsheets
Extensive knowledge of NGL products/breakdown AND NGL transportation logistics
Knowledge of associated demurrage costs
Experience interacting with external and internal parties
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Bachelor's in Business OR Accounting
