Job Description
An Insight Global client is currently looking for a lead system specialist to join their commercial systems team. This person will provide technical/analytical system support for enterprise-class commercial business systems supporting market data and reporting systems for commodity prices (CME, Platts', OPIS, Argus and IHS, etc.). This position will work as a part of a support team and provide direct technical assistance to key business users and IT peers, deliver coded solutions for enhancements and new functionality as well as provide technical project support for moderately complex, custom-developed system(s), modules, etc. The individual will have direct support responsibility for a wide range of users, including troubleshooting, analysis, and problem resolution, solution design, participation in on-call rotation, as well as accountability for the delivery of technical designs, technical development, testing, and implementation support.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience working with application development and support
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting SQL -based applications
- Proficient in database design, table creation, and development of stored
procedures, and referential integrity
-Proficient in Microsoft SQL server, tSQL, Visual Studio 2019+, and C#, and
SSRS
-Bachelor's degree
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Commercial Energy trading experience or pricing systems
-leadership experience
-previous experience integrating energy transportation applications
