Overview:
Insight Global is in search of a Senior Air Quality Engineer to join one our largest engineering consultant clients in Texas. This client is responsible for many facets within the engineering world including, geotechnical, civil, electrical, water/wastewater, transportation, and air quality with various different clients. This role will be primarily commercial facing with a focus on industrial clients, mainly Oil & Gas related. This person will be splitting their time between high level Program Management & technical responsibilities with a high degree of autonomy associated with both. This is a newer initiative and team build out for our end client with a huge opportunity for career growth.
Day to Day:
* Provide exceptional air quality and permitting services to our energy and industrial clients, including impact assessment
* Assist in identifying permit requirements and the roadmap for permitting and in preparing permit studies and applications, under local, state and federal requirements
* Advise internal senior staff on environmental and permitting issues
* Interact with internal and external teams to provide environmental, engineering and operational support to our clients
* Work with senior consultants and principals in the practice to identify opportunities and prepare winning proposals; support in developing and managing client and market information
* Quality assurance - responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines set before a given project or job site
Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, etc.)
* A Professional Engineering (PE) License
* Develop complete and accurate air quality permits for Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and New Source Review compliance
* 5+ years of Business Development & Department Growth (Client interaction, mentorship, etc.)
o Preparation of fee estimates, proposals, statements of qualifications, etc.
* 10+ years of experience in air permitting
o Prepare emission estimates based on site specific information using approved state and federal calculation methodologies
o Conduct federal and state air quality regulatory review
o Evaluate air pollution control technologies, including economic and technical feasibility of air pollution control equipment
* Knowledge and experience with environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements of Texas
* Good communication (Coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations, prepare written reports)
* Ability to travel to client locations, both sites and offices

* Good existing relationships with local and statewide clients in the Air Quality sector
* Ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Previous experience mentoring groups, having multiple direct reports
* Ability to potentially bring work / clients to this position
