Lead Breast Ultrasound Technologist

A hospital system in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Breast Ultrasound Tech to join their team. This role is for an Outpatient Breast Center located in Southwest Houston and the shift for this role is Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm. The Lead Breast Ultrasound Tech will be responsible for performing breast ultrasounds on patients as well as breast biopsies alongside the radiology doctor. He/She will

prepare patients for the exam, explain the procedure, position patients for the exam, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures the technical quality of the images. Additional lead responsibilities include involvement in customer service scores and quality audits, ordering additional supplies for the department, and ensuring that breast biopsy reports come back to the department in a timely manner. They will also help coordinate the teams schedule and be an extra set of eyes on any scans as needed.

5+ yrs of recent experience in a Breast Ultrasound role



Experience performing breast ultrasounds and breast biopsies



RDMS Certification or ARRT-S Certification



BLS Certification (AHA)



Strong customer service and leadership skills

RDMS BR or ARRT-BS
