An employer is seeking a PC Technician/ Network Technician to join their team 100% onsite in the Houston, TX area. This person will be working with a team of 4 other PC Technicians to support 1,000 end users in the company, 500 will be onsite in the building, and 500 will be in remote areas. On a day-to-day basis, this person will be responsible for providing level 1/tier 1 support to their end users subjected but not limited to troubleshooting onsite hardware issues, troubleshooting various networks, and providing end user facing support. If a troubleshooting issue cannot be resolved, they will pass the issue to an escalation point, level 3 system administrators, for review. This person will also need a have a strong understanding in ethernet connectivity issues and have knowledge in Dell Fleet management as the company works heavily with different computer models, mainly in laptops vs. desktops.
1. 8-10 years of experience in PC Technician Support.
2. Experience troubleshooting tier 3 issues such as onsite hardware support, networks (cables, routers, and switches) , and end user support.
3. Hands on end user facing experience and has the ability to communicate well with others.
4. Experience installing Microsoft Office 365 into PCs.
5. Experience understanding ethernet connectivity issues.
6. Experience in a Windows and Active Directory environment.
7. Experience working with Dell Fleet (working with dozens of different computer models, more laptop vs. desktop)
8. Experience managing user account maintenance/user administration.
