This large local government is looking for a Wireless Network Engineer to help manage a large scale outdoor Wi-Fi initiative that is currently launched. They will also be responsible for the internal wireless devices as well. They will also lead a small team of 2-3 with daily direction. This person will need have expertise in setting up outdoor devices, troubleshooting and monitoring the health of these devices. After the set up is completed they will continue to monitor and support as well as assist the core Network Engineering team with any traditional networking engineering support they need as well. This position will be mostly remote but will require onsite presence as well specifically for planning meetings with vendors and stakeholders.
5-8+ years experience as a Wireless Network Engineer
Expertise with large scale wireless systems (i.e. Meraki, Fluid mesh, etc)
Any experience in a management or leads position
CCNA or Equivalent
Network Background in Route/switch as well as firewalls.
