(Full time / Permanent Employee Position)
The 2nd fastest growing convenient store corporation located in north Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Application Development and Support Manager to join their team. This position will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and will partner closely with the IT teams. The current team supports Verifone and Gilbarco POS, Trendar/Comdata POS, store internet, phones, back-office PCs, integrating self-checkouts, Card Reader in Dispenser (CRIND) changes, as well as various store and corporate applications.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
-Provide leadership in the design, planning, operation, architecture and maintenance of all programs and applications
-Responsible for the delivery of development projects, maintenance, minor enhancements, and production support
-Initially manage a team of 3 developers and 4 application support engineers (expected team growth)
-Demonstrate leadership by coaching, mentoring, and providing guidance to support and encourage the development of team members
-Work closely with the CTO and business units to ensure projects are tracked, communicated, and committed delivery dates are met
-Experienced working with multiple vendors to coordinate delivery of 3rd party programs
-Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and support of IT change management process
Required Skills & Experience
5 -- 8 years' experience developing and managing people in IT roles such as software developers and application support engineers
7 -- 10 years' experience in a Retail Operations technology environment
Experienced with various programming languages such as C#, PowerShell, SQL on Microsoft SQL server
Previous experience with SIEM solutions and ITIL processes
Strong presentation skills and the ability to create and maintain standard operating procedures and documenting system processes
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience
