Job Description
A client in the Austin, TX area is looking to add a Remote DevOps Engineer to their team! They are looking for someone to help build functional systems that improve their customer experience. The DevOps Engineer's responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with DevOps tools like Jenkins and Kubernetes, you would be great for this role. Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely. In this role, you will be building out applications for the business.
Responsibilities:
-Support of activities in all tiers of the DevOps solution, including the orchestration/automation of system configuration, application deployment, application configuration, performance engineering and cloud deployments/management
-Collaborating with Development, Architecture/Engineering, and Operations at all levels to foster successful partnerships critical to the design, development, testing and implementation of automated/continuous delivery solutions
-Collaborating with IT Security team to foster security best practices in a private network.
-Documenting development phases and monitor systems.
-Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback.
-Comply with project plans and industry standards.
-Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of DevOps experience
Experience packaging and deploying traditional & containerized Java applications
Heavy Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Maven, Nexus experience
Heavy Kubernetes experience
Experience with logging tools such as Open Search or Elk Stack
Vault or secrets management experience
SonarQube experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
SKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) Certification
Azure experience
Kubernetes administration experience
Elk Stack or Open Search experience
Experience automating Atlassian products
Insurance, Auto, or FinTech industry experience
