Job Description

A client in the Tullahoma, TN area is looking for an System Administrator who will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, repair, and support of Linux and/or Microsoft Windows-based workstations and servers, peripheral equipment, and software applications supporting the Arnold Engineering Development Complex aerospace ground test facilities and associated facility utility systems.



Specifically, these duties will include:

- Supporting, maintaining, repairing, and installing an environment of Linux and/or Microsoft Windows-based workstations and servers, peripheral equipment, and software applications related to the operation of the test facilities and associated facility utility systems

- Performing computer and network trouble-shooting to diagnose basic system and desktop problems

- Performing configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of networking hardware and services

- Managing hardware and software maintenance and licensing contracts, and local licensing services

- Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining system security

- Supporting the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization process to obtain the Authority-To-Operate (ATO) for test mission networks



* Based upon level of experience, candidate may act as primary System Administrator for facility test support or utility system servers and workstations with responsibility for server, workstation and storage upgrades and enhancements to meet current and future end-user and facility requirements, system backups and processes

Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of true System Admin experience

- B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical related degree (no flex here)

- Experience developing and implementing indepth system admin task (not just helpdesk background)

- Experience with Linux and/or Microsoft Windows

- Experience with Storage Management and Services, including RAID, LVM, NFS

- Experience in scripting environment and shell scripts

- Eligible to receive a CAC (Common Access Card) and Security Clearance

- Able to obtain Security+ within six months of employment

- Experience with engineering computer aided design/computer aided engineering (CAD/CAE) tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with DoD Computer System Administration requirements

- Secret Clearance

- Industry certifications related to computer system administration (Windows, Linux/Unix, Security+, etc)

- Installation, Configuration, and Troubleshooting experience with the following operating systems: Sun Solaris, Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 10, Linux

- Experience with programming languages (perl, php, java, javascript, etc)

- Experience in an Industrial and/or DoD work environment
