Job Description

A client in the Nashville area is looking for an SDET (QA Engineer) to join their team. This individual needs to be heavily experienced with automation testing . Testing will be conducted using automation first approach. May assist project team with high-level design and/or integration considerations. The person will partner with multiple teams to help with a large project of migrating to the cloud and modernizing applications. This is a growth opportunity with potential for this individual to move into a lead role and taking over the current project. Prefer local to Nashville onsite 2 days but accepting strong remote candidates. The majority of the team sits in Florida so they must have strong communication skills. They will be working with a Product Owner, Tech Lead, and BA in addition to the QA team.



*They will be testing the data used in the hospitals scheduling application

* Build new automation test scripts using object oriented programing languages like C#

* Build web UI automation using Selenium web driver

* Build API and database test using C#

* Maintain and debug existing automated test scripts

* Scheduled daily test execution using Jenkins CI/CD tool

* Potential to mentor across QA teams within the program space

* Ability to build a test automation framework

* Follow established automation and performance testing practices

* Work as quality lead within an Agile scrum team

* Collaborate with the scrum team members to develop Agile testing strategies that address areas such as database impacts, functional software use cases, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability

* Help the team prevent defects by baking in quality practices early in the planning and development phases

* Defect discovery, prevention and tracking with the scrum team

* Execute Manual testing when automation may not be ideal

Required Skills & Experience

- 3-4 years of QA or SDET experience

-C# coding experience preferred (Java acceptable if have everything else)

-SQL

-Selenium automation tool experience

-API Testing experience

-CI/CD Pipelines

-Jenkins

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Off shore experience (must have good communication skills)
