• Program and configure building automation systems
• Commission new buildings, HVAC systems, and controls installations
• Troubleshoot BAS, HVAC controls, electrical, and networking issues
• Integrate multiple building systems into centralized control platforms
• Verify HVAC sequences of operation and system performance
• Configure BAS controllers, databases, and communication networks
• Support one of the company's largest commercial accounts
• Perform startup, testing, and operational verification of building systems
• Train facility operators and managers on BAS functionality
• Maintain system performance and optimize building operations
• Coordinate with facility teams, project managers, and customers
• Provide technical support for Siemens-based control environments
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a BAS Integrator for a leading mechanical services and smart buildings organization. This individual will serve as a highly technical resource responsible for programming, commissioning, integrating, and troubleshooting building automation and HVAC control systems across large commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of HVAC controls expertise, BAS programming skills, electrical troubleshooting knowledge, and networking experience. Responsibilities include integrating HVAC equipment, chillers, boilers, VFDs, and energy management systems into centralized platforms, supporting system startups, optimizing building performance, training end users, and ensuring reliable operation of mission-critical facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including large enterprise and government contracts, while supporting one of the organization's most strategic accounts.

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Strong HVAC controls experience
• BAS installation, commissioning, and system interoperability experience
• Experience with Siemens controls or comparable BAS platforms
• Knowledge of BAS communication protocols:
o BACnet MS/TP
o BACnet IP
o Modbus
o Echelon
o Zigbee
• Tridium Niagara AX/N4 certification or equivalent BAS platform experience
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills and understanding of Ohm's Law
• Experience configuring controllers, networks, and system integrations
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, control diagrams, and technical documentation
• Understanding of HVAC equipment and control systems
• Experience downloading, modifying, programming, and commissioning BAS systems
• Knowledge of IT networking environments and system configuration
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and BAS engineering software
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Siemens experience
• Honeywell, Trane, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, or similar BAS platform experience
• Industrial automation / PLC programming background
• AutoCAD experience
• Microsoft SQL Server administration experience
• Hydronic systems knowledge (chilled water, condenser water, hot water)
• Airside systems experience (VAV/CAV)
• VFD startup, verification, and testing experience
• Test & Balance experience
• Experience developing scopes of work
• Strong customer-facing communication and training experience
