Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Application Architect to join a highly collaborative technology team responsible for designing and evolving modern cloud-based solutions. This individual will partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to investigate technical requirements, develop scalable architecture strategies, and lead the design of enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with deep expertise in AWS-based architecture, distributed systems, and modern application development practices. This role will play a key part in defining the future-state architecture while guiding development teams through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead application architecture efforts from discovery and solution design through implementation.
Evaluate business and technical requirements to develop scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Design modern cloud-native architectures utilizing AWS technologies and serverless frameworks.
Partner with engineering teams to establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices.
Create technical roadmaps and recommend platform improvements that align with business objectives.
Provide architectural guidance during development, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful delivery across multiple teams.
Drive decisions around data architecture, API design, integration strategies, and system scalability.
Assess existing applications and identify opportunities for modernization and optimization.
Mentor developers and technical teams on architecture patterns and cloud-native development practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, or application architecture experience.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale applications in AWS environments.
- Strong background with:
AWS Lambda
Amazon RDS
Amazon DynamoDB
API-driven and event-driven architectures
Serverless architectures
Microservices architecture
- Advanced experience with TypeScript, NodeJS, and modern application development practices.
- Experience designing secure, highly available, and scalable cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of application integration patterns and data modeling.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading architecture discussions across multiple teams and business functions.
