Job Description

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation and Employee Assistance Foundation are implementing NetSuite as their new financial management platform, replacing QuickBooks. We are seeking a seasoned NetSuite Finance Lead to own the data conversion and migration workstream while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation.
This individual will be the primary data conversion resource responsible for ensuring the successful migration of over 20 years of financial and donor data into NetSuite. The ideal candidate is a hands-on NetSuite expert who has participated in multiple ERP conversions, understands nonprofit financial operations, and can independently drive data validation, reconciliation, issue resolution, and final sign-off activities. This is not a project management role. We are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves, work directly with the data, identify issues, develop solutions, and guide stakeholders based on prior implementation experience.

Responsibilities
• Lead all data conversion activities associated with the QuickBooks to NetSuite migration.
• Partner with the NetSuite implementation team and foundation stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation.
• Extract, analyze, cleanse, validate, and reconcile legacy financial data prior to migration.
• Develop and validate data mapping between QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Identify data quality issues, research root causes, implement corrections, and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
• Manage multiple conversion cycles, testing efforts, reconciliations, and cutover activities.
• Ensure successful migration of:
o General Ledger data
o Donor records
o Grant recipient information
o Accounts payable transactions
o Invoices and payment history
o Historical financial records
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-conversion validation.
• Validate reporting requirements, including:
o Donor reporting
o Grant recipient reporting
o Period, quarter, and year reporting
o Fiscal year comparisons
o P&L reporting
o Balance Sheet reporting
o Budget reporting
o Account reconciliations
• Ensure processes are established to support:
o Large-volume check processing
o Check print jobs
o Invoice generation
o Invoice-to-payment reconciliation
o Account transfers
