Job Description
The Plastic Molding Technician will be responsible for supporting the efficient production of high-quality molded plastic components through the setup, operation, and optimization of injection molding equipment and processes. This individual will perform mold changeovers, prepare machinery for production runs, troubleshoot processing and equipment issues, and make process adjustments to maintain quality and productivity standards. Working closely with Plastics Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams, the technician will evaluate equipment performance, audit molding machines to verify part quality and process parameters, and provide recommendations to reduce defects, minimize downtime, and improve overall efficiency. The role also requires a strong understanding of molds and injection molding machinery, including identifying and reporting mold repair needs, preparing molds for storage, and ensuring equipment is production-ready.
