Hybrid Product Owner

Job Description:
A client in Nashville is seeking a Product Owner to support its underwriting platform, focused on enhancing user experience, driving product initiatives, and integrating with third-party partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys autonomy, and can leverage data to drive product decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Execution
Own and prioritize the product backlog for underwriting platform enhancements
Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Drive product initiatives from concept through delivery
Project & Stakeholder Management
Lead cross-functional projects and ensure alignment across internal teams
Interface with third-party vendors and partners to support integrations and product functionality
Act as the primary point of contact between business, technical teams, and external stakeholders
User Experience & Product Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve end-user experience across the underwriting platform
Partner with design and engineering teams to implement UX enhancements
Gather user feedback and translate insights into product improvements
Data-Driven Decision Making
Use data and analytics to support product decisions and prioritize initiatives
Measure product performance and identify areas for optimization
Advocate for solutions backed by measurable outcomes

Must Haves:
Experience working as a Product Owner or Product Manager (3+ years)
Proven ability to drive projects and manage product lifecycle execution
Experience working with third-party integrations or external partners
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles
Ability to operate independently with a high level of autonomy
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Plusses:
Experience in the insurance industry (especially underwriting)
Familiarity with underwriting platforms or risk systems
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
