Job Description

One of our large clients is seeking 2 contract Biomedical Engineering Technicians to join their team.
Seeking mid- to senior-level Biomedical Technicians to support preventative maintenance (PM) across hospital equipment. Candidates will complete scheduled PM tasks, ensure equipment meets safety standards, and work within the biomedical asset/work order management system.
This role will involve close collaboration with full-time staff, including paired PM work and hands-on training in safety protocols and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance on biomedical equipment
• Trigger and complete PM work orders within asset management systems
• Conduct safety and performance checks using testing equipment
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards
• Document all work completed accurately within system
• Work alongside FTEs for training and knowledge transfer

Equipment Experience Needed:
• Infusion pumps (Beckton Dickinson preferred)
• Patient monitors (Philips preferred)
• Hospital beds

Technical Skills:
• Experience performing PM tasks and inspections on medical equipment
• Familiarity with testing tools such as:
o Electrical safety analyzer
o Digital volt meter
o Pressure meters

Required Skills & Experience

• Biomedical background with hands-on PM experience
• Degree or certification in Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) or related field
• Mid to senior-level experience strongly preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Strong work ethic (high accountability, no hand-holding)
• Professional demeanor in hospital environment
• Understanding of hospital etiquette and patient interaction
• Ability to work respectfully in patient rooms around families
