Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Radiation Therapist for one of their healthcare clients in a Proton Center setting. This role focuses on delivering precise radiation treatments, working closely with physics and dosimetry teams, and ensuring a high-quality patient experience. The team is hiring multiple therapists due to turnover and is open to new grads who can obtain certification within 6 months.
Responsibilities
• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Perform treatment simulations and assist with patient setup/positioning
• Collaborate with physics and dosimetry teams to ensure treatment accuracy
• Conduct daily equipment warm-ups and performance checks
• Fabricate treatment devices for patient immobilization and beam shaping
• Perform new start, weekly, and adaptive plan checks
• Schedule and coordinate patient treatments
• Document patient care, treatment details, and communications accurately in clinical systems
• Register patient imaging/films for physician review
• Ensure accurate billing/charge capture for services provided
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment (infection control, equipment sanitation)
• Monitor patients for changes and escalate concerns as needed
• Provide excellent patient communication and support, including handling concerns/complaints
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team collaboration
-Support onboarding/training as a preceptor for new staff

Required Skills & Experience
• ARRT Certification OR ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment
• Strong communication skills (patient-facing + team collaboration)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Dependability and strong prioritization skills
• Comfort working with technology/clinical systems
-Willingness to work variable shifts (~8.5 hours, potential evenings/weekends)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with cone beam CT image guidance
• Experience with proton therapy
• Prior experience in a radiation oncology/proton center setting
• Additional certifications (eligible for increased compensation)
