Job Description
This is a 6-month contract for a Purchasing Analyst contract supporting a clients IT procurement team during a high-volume period after a recent retirement. You’ll step in to help manage purchase orders for IT services, software, and hardware—working closely with vendors, finance, and internal teams to keep everything moving smoothly. It’s a great opportunity for someone with procurement experience to gain exposure to a large enterprise environment, hit the ground running, and make an immediate impact.
• Review approved requisitions and create/release purchase orders (POs)
• Manage PO change requests (scope, pricing, quantity changes, etc.)
• Work with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Handle full procurement lifecycle (request → PO → invoice → payment)
• Communicate with vendors + internal stakeholders (finance, contracting, IT teams)
• Monitor receiving + payment activity to ensure timely vendor payments
• Analyze financial system reports (Infor Cloud) to identify and fix issues
• Help support process improvements across procurement workflows
• Balance high-volume queue work while team members focus on projects

Required Skills & Experience
• 2–3+ years of procurement / purchasing / buyer experience
• Experience with purchase orders + full procurement lifecycle
• Background in finance, accounting, or supply chain
• Experience resolving invoice / PO discrepancies
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (ex: Infor, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Ability to work with internal + external stakeholders (vendors, finance, AP)
• Local to Nashville + hybrid (2 days onsite required)
