Job Description
A client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Early Phase Research Nurse to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for screening, enrolling, and following study subjects, ensuring rigorous protocol compliance, and providing close monitoring throughout their participation in the clinical trial. Your role will be critical in maintaining the integrity of the studies and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
Day to Day Responsibilites
- Screen, enroll, and manage patients on early-phase clinical trials (Phase 1)
- Coordinate all study-related activities (labs, visits, treatments) according to strict protocols
- Monitor patients closely for safety, side effects, and adverse events
- Perform and support protocol-specific activities (ex: timed labs, sample collection, study tracking tools)
- Work closely with physicians, research coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Serve as a key point of contact for patients throughout the trial

Required Skills & Experience
- Active RN license
- 5+ years of oncology experience
- At least 1 year of clinical research experience
- Experience in or exposure to clinical trials (particularly early phase / phase 1 trials)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
CERTIFICATIONS
- Must be eligible for ACRP (or have it already)
- Required to obtain ACRP within 6 months of meeting eligibility.

EDUCATION
- Associate degree; Bachelors preferred
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting Phase 1 or early drug development trials
- Research certification (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe)
- Previous experience in highly regulated or data-driven environments
- Comfort working in more centralized or specialized clinical settings
- Bachelor's degree
