Job Description

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for leading end to end test automation efforts with a strong focus on Playwright based frameworks. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable automation solutions for UI, API, and end to end testing, while integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support shift left testing practices. The engineer collaborates closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure high quality releases, continuously improves existing automation suites for performance and coverage, and ensures cross browser and cross platform validation. The role requires a SME that can set the pace for the team and be the driving force as they move towards greater automation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in QA, including 3+ years in a lead/senior automation position
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, including JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Background building automation frameworks for web applications
• Extensive experience in API testing, UI automation, and end-to-end testing strategies
• Experience integrating Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines and an understanding of test design patterns, page object models, and modular frameworks
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and code review processes
• Self-motivated and great communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform
• Experience with BDD frameworks (ex: Cucumber)
• Exposure to containerization tools (ex: Docker)
