Job Description
A facilities services company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support and oversee commissioning and close‑out activities for a large-scale data center construction project in Memphis, TN. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating commissioning efforts across multiple technical trades and stakeholders and will serve as a primary point of contact with the end client, who is directly overseeing construction of the facility.
This role requires a confident, highly communicative professional with a strong background in construction and industrial environments, ideally with direct experience supporting data center builds, mission‑critical facilities, or commissioning efforts.
Responsibilities:
Own and drive commissioning and close‑out execution through final data center building turnover
Serve as the primary client-facing PM, coordinating with the end client, commissioning agents, contractors, and subcontractors
Manage the commissioning/close‑out critical path, ensuring all required testing, tasks, and deliverables are completed
Coordinate and hold accountability across technical trades (electrical, mechanical, controls, etc.)
Identify and resolve gaps, risks, or delays to keep commissioning and turnover on schedule

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager within construction, industrial, large-scale commercial, or mission‑critical environments
Proven experience supporting large, complex facilities such as data centers, industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, or capital projects
Strong background in project coordination, close‑out, and stakeholder management
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background working with general contractors, owners’ representatives, commissioning authorities, or QA/QC teams
Familiarity with mission‑critical systems (electrical, mechanical, controls, etc.)
PMP or other project management certifications (CQM, Scheduling PM certifications, etc.)
Experience using project management and construction software such as Procore, commissioning platforms (e.g., CX Alloy), or similar tools
Experience in large-scale industrial or manufacturing environments (e.g., 400,000+ sq. ft. facilities, major capital projects, assembly or process-driven operations)
