Job Description

The Logistics Engineer serves as a technical and strategic liaison between internal and outside vendors, owning engineering initiatives from concept through implementation. This role combines hands‑on program leadership, including reviewing vendor designs, assessing structural and safety impacts, and validating concepts. The position is executive‑facing, requiring clear communication of technical risks, recommendations, and financial impacts to senior leadership. This individual partners closely with operations, engineering, and business teams to deliver safe, cost‑effective solutions across a global network.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary engineering liaison with multiple external vendors.
• Represent the organization in technical forums, conferences, and vendor or industry board meetings; synthesize insights for senior leadership.
• Operate in an executive‑facing role, translating technical concepts, risks, and recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Own end‑to‑end project execution, including planning, technical evaluation, implementation, and financial impact assessment.
• Partner with operations, engineering, safety, and business teams to ensure alignment, feasibility, and compliance with aircraft safety requirements.
• Lead aircraft engineering and logistics initiatives across global regions (U.S., Europe, Asia, Latin America).
• Review vendor designs and technical proposals, identify risks or gaps, and provide data‑driven recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of engineering experience in logistics, aviation, aerospace, mechanical, structural, or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred)
• Experience using AutoCAD to review, validate, or test concepts
• Familiarity with ANSYS or other finite element analysis tools
• Ability to review, evaluate, and challenge engineering designs and vendor proposals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership
• Ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams, external vendors, and multiple regions/time zones

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience evaluating aircraft structural loads and stress conditions
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Basic experience with financial planning and analysis
• Experience reviewing and approving vendor designs and recommending design changes
• Strong understanding of aircraft structures and mechanics, including load paths, aircraft floor loading, and safety considerations
