Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to step into a client‑facing role supporting testing services, proposals, and project execution within facilities, construction materials, environmental, and geotechnical projects. This position is less physical and more administrative and relationship‑driven, focused on coordinating work, managing project scope, and serving as a key liaison between clients and internal teams.
Under direct supervision, this individual will support small projects or discrete phases of larger projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to scope testing services, define project requirements, and support ongoing relationships
- Serve as a primary point of contact, conduct project meetings, and communicate project status, schedules, and deliverables
- Support proposal development, job setup, and project execution, monitoring progress against scope, schedule, and budget
- Assist with resource planning, scheduling, forecasting, cost tracking, and coordination of facilities, construction materials, environmental, or geotechnical testing
- Prepare and submit project deliverables in accordance with contract scope and schedule; assist with invoicing, change orders, and collections
- Promote safety, quality, and risk management, identifying and resolving issues to minimize delays and ensure compliance with company policies
- Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff; work with Authorized Project Reviewers (APR) and external vendors to ensure service standards are met

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 2+ years of related experience
(Or, in lieu of a degree, 6+ years of related experience)
- Strong client communication and relationship‑management skills
- Valid driver’s license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Facilities or project‑based experience
- Understanding of construction materials testing
- Exposure to field, lab, or construction‑related testing environments
