Job Description
The General Manager (GM) of Human Resources is the senior HR leader responsible for end-to-end HR strategy and execution for a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) organization with approximately 500 employees across 12 locations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role partners with operations leadership to build a high-performing, compliant, and engaged workforce across warehouse, transportation, and administrative functions. The GM of HR leads a team of five HR Specialists and oversees all HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation/benefits administration, HR compliance, training and development, HRIS/data reporting, and policy governance. This role will require working onsite in Knoxville TN with domestic travel expectations up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months then20-30% of the after. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity with a salary range of 125-150k annually with possible flexibility for the right candidate.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years progressive HR experience with multi-site responsibility; at least 3+ years leading HR teams.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing all core HR functions (TA, ER, compliance, comp/benefits, performance management, HRIS).
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance in a multi-state environment.
• Proven ability to influence operations leaders and drive adoption in fast-paced, hourly workforce settings
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• HR experience in 3PL, warehousing, distribution, transportation, manufacturing, or other high-volume hourly environments.
• Professional certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred.
