Job Description

• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Documents detailed requirements, defines project scope and objectives, and designs systems that support overall business strategies.
• Identifies and extracts all relevant data elements—structured and unstructured—from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
• Be able to validate data extracts against current registry abstracted values
• Works closely with Product Managers and serves as the central coordination point between data sources, business stakeholders, and the application team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of combined Data Analyst and Business Analyst experience (approximately 70% data-focused).
• Strong healthcare analytics expertise, including deep knowledge of EHR systems - how data flows in and out of EHRs, and how it is consumed, interpreted, and validated.
• Proven experience gathering data analysis requirements and identifying appropriate data sources within databases.
• Solid understanding of healthcare terminology
• Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex queries and data transformation
• Strong understanding of structured vs. unstructured data within enterprise data warehouses (EDW) and clinical documentation systems across hospitals
