Job Description

A fortune 250 retail company headquartered in Memphis, TN is looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst. This financial systems analyst will be joining the financial vertical but also supporting the IT vertical to help with the implementation and migration of their new ERP system, SAP.
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will develop and maintains the architecture of the reporting systems in the ERP and Workday Adaptive Planning. This analyst will oversee the daily/weekly/periodic/quarterly report processing from those systems. This resource will support configuration, report development, create business processes and troubleshoot technical issues. The Senior Financial Systems Analyst works closely with Finance to improve processes and leverage the technological capabilities of the ERP and Workday Adaptive Planning to maximize system efficiencies.
Responsible for managing and optimizing financial reporting and budgeting systems. Key duties include:
Develop and maintain financial reports in PeopleSoft Finance; perform month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues impacting reporting and performance.
Support budgeting processes in Workday Adaptive Planning, including data structures, user security, and hierarchy alignment.
Automate processes and improve efficiency using VBA, SQL, and other technologies.
Drive continuous improvement through system upgrades, configuration, and integration.
Prepare and maintain documentation for financial application processes and updates.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience as a Financial Systems Analyst + Workday Adaptive Planning
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
Work with adaptive insights- planning and forecasting
New analytics cloud platform - in basic form
Extensive experience in Excel (pivots, advanced formulas, VBA)
Experience with database concepts
Administration and/or implementation experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
Financial literacy with working knowledge of general ledger, income statements, balance sheets, and accounting terms
Experience developing SQL queries across

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

SAP Cloud Analytics
Experience in budgeting, planning, modeling and forecasting systems
