Job Description
An employer is looking to hire a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to sit in Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga, or Knoxville (offering relocation). The role involves leading field investigations, analyzing and interpreting geotechnical data, performing engineering calculations, and developing design recommendations. Responsibilities include preparing detailed plans, specifications, proposals, and cost estimates, as well as overseeing project progress, budgets, and compliance with standards. The engineer will be doing site assessments, testing, fieldwork, and report preparation, while resolving design and construction challenges. Acting as a technical advisor, the position requires mentoring junior staff, ensuring quality and safety standards, and effectively communicating complex engineering concepts to clients and project teams. Additionally, the role includes client interaction for scope development and project updates, along with integrating quality leadership practices into daily operations.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Geological)
3-5 years of geotechnical experience (performing site assessments, logging samples, PM for on site work, etc.)
EIT preferred, ability to obtain PE
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Master’s degree in engineering preferred
