Job Description

An employer is seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration focused Maintenance Manager for a long-term opportunity in the Memphis, TN area. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the Maintenance Excellence process by implementing and sustaining a robust predictive and preventative maintenance (PPM) program. This role will ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all maintenance functions, while also managing departmental budgets, personnel development, and capital planning. Day to day responsibilities will include:

-Lead and optimize the PPM program through effective work order management, parts inventory control, employee training, scheduling, and process improvements.
-Develop, implement, and manage departmental budgets to support operational goals.
-Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
-Drive standardization and interchangeability of materials, equipment, and spare parts across the facility.
-Recommend and oversee equipment modifications or replacements to enhance safety, quality, and throughput.
-Conduct engineering analyses to identify root causes of critical and recurring equipment failures.
-Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including equipment manuals, inspection reports, and regulatory records.
-Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and other regulatory agencies through proactive engagement and documentation.
-Lead the development and execution of a 3-Year Minor Capital Plan, including feasibility studies, capital requests, contract creation, and project management.
-Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to direct reports.

Required Skills & Experience

Associate Degree related field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing or logistics setting
2+ year of experience in a leadership role
2+ years of experience in ammonia refrigeration operation and maintenance
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CPG industry knowledge
Certified in ammonia refrigeration (if not certified, client will provide cert)
