Job Description
A large Fortune 250 retail client headquartered in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior Backend Java Engineer to join their Supply Chain Team. This team is currently driving one of the company’s most ambitious and high-impact initiatives: the development of a fully customized Warehouse Management System (WMS). This system is being built from the ground up to meet the unique needs of the business and is expected to go live in early 2026.
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and developing custom backend code that powers this new WMS. You’ll work alongside architects, product owners, and other engineers to ensure the system is scalable, reliable, and aligned with business goals.

6+ years of experience as a Java Engineer
Experience with Springboot, Microservices, Hibernate
Cloud background: GCP (GKE)
Kubernetes
Terraform, Liquibase, AlloyDB, Dynatrace
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Claude Agentic coding
