Job Description

This role is responsible for managing all aspects of property and gross receipts tax compliance, reporting, and analysis. Responsibilities include coordinating with third-party consultants to ensure timely updates for new locations, pay directive changes, and reconciliations that impact monthly property tax accruals. The position prepares and reviews journal entries for SAP import, reconciles general ledger accounts, and ensures accurate and timely tax filings across multiple jurisdictions. It involves analyzing financial statements for tax-related variances, preparing annual budgets, responding to audit inquiries, and maintaining internal controls and documentation. The role also supports tax savings initiatives, including abatements and appeals, and serves as a key liaison for internal departments and external tax providers.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of related experience with at least 1 year in a financial/accounting role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency using MS Office, including advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, x-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
Experience with SAP and Business Objects data management software
OneSource Property Tax experience is preferred
Ability to research, audit, analyze, process, and reconcile electronic data
Ability to interact and partner with professionals in various functional areas to resolve complex tax issues throughout the organization
Ability to work interpersonally and represent the organization to external auditors and consultants

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CPA preferred
Big 4 experience preferred
