Job Description

A large client of Insight Global is looking an Operations Advisor / Project Engineer to lead and manage multiple high-impact projects aimed at optimizing operational efficiency, reducing costs, enhancing customer service, and driving revenue growth. This candidate will apply engineering principles, data analytics, and strategic planning to transform business processes and implement innovative solutions across our logistics network.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Lead the development, evaluation, and execution of operational strategies and engineering projects across multiple facilities.
Conduct detailed studies and data analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and service enhancement.
Develop and implement models, tools, and dashboards to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable solutions that align with global operational excellence goals.
Translate complex business requirements into actionable engineering and technology solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain engineering.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
7 years in industrial engineering, operations research, or logistics engineering roles.
Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations.
Proven ability to lead complex projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data modeling and simulation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution.
Proficiency in developing and implementing operational plans and performance metrics.

Technical Skills
Programming & Data Tools: Python, PySpark, SQL, Java
Visualization & Dashboards: Plotly Dash, Power BI
Cloud & Data Platforms: Azure, Databricks (including Databricks Apps)
Automation & Workflow Tools: Alteryx
