Insight Global is hiring for a Construction Laborer to support a multi-utility construction company based out of West Chester. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for individuals with experience in underground utility locating and a strong understanding of safety practices. The Locator will play a key role in supporting construction and maintenance operations by accurately identifying and marking underground utility structures.
Responsibilities:
- Use locating equipment (e.g., electromagnetic locators, GPR) to identify underground utilities.
- Mark manholes, handholes, and utility lines according to project plans and safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections and maintain detailed records of findings.
- Collaborate with construction teams to support project planning and execution.
- Respond to locate requests and emergencies to prevent utility damage.
- Follow all safety protocols and assist with reporting and documentation.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
- Distinguish safety colors with 20/20 vision (corrective lenses allowed).
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor in outdoor environments.
- Work in variable weather and terrain conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations.

- Experience with utility locating equipment and underground utility systems.
- Ability to read utility maps, blueprints, and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and emergency calls.
- Certification in utility location (e.g. NICET)
- Previous experience in construction or utility maintenance
