Job Description

Entry-Level Field Technician I As an (entry-level) Field Technician I at Our Client, you will gain basic knowledge of the terminology, processes, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) of various environmental control systems, while also learning essential health and safety requirements. Your tasks will be straightforward, providing a solid foundation for your career growth. You will report to a senior-level supervisor, such as a Project Superintendent or a Project Manager. We are looking for a Field Technician to service the Tennessee area.

How You Can Make an Impact

Focuses on gaining the fundamentals needed to understand the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of various environmental systems.

Works with senior staff in the planning and execution of assigned tasks, including daily Crew Activity Plans (CAP), monitoring, and/or adjustment of various environmental control system components.

At the direction of senior staff, performs basic maintenance and repairs of various environmental control system components.

Becomes familiar with the concepts of conducting field observations/actions and reporting those observations/actions via field notes and daily logs, which will be used by others to prepare verbal and written client communications.

Through training, gains basic knowledge to utilize field instruments to measure required environmental control system data, including calibration and proper care and handling of field instruments.

Participates in preliminary review of collected data with a supervisor to gain an understanding of the basic fundamentals required to interpret field data.

Works with senior staff to make operational adjustments to environmental control system components in conjunction with the results of preliminary data reviews.

Receives training to utilize the appropriate tools, equipment, and materials to maintain and repair environmental control system components.

Assists Laborers, Field Technician II, Senior Field Technicians, or other staff with the removal of landfill liquid pumps.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Expected to possess or be willing to complete a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Course, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 preferred (training will be provided if not current).
- Basic knowledge in the use of various computer/technology skills including Smartphones, Tablets, and Microsoft Office Programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- A valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing is required.
- Must meet physical requirements and pass a human performance evaluation (HPE).
