Job Description

In this role, you will oversee end-to-end movement of product shipped via ocean carriersfrom point of origin overseas, through U.S. ports, rail systems, and final delivery to domestic distribution centers. This role comes with a fast-paced, high-volume environment, requiring a proactive mindset and someone who can effectively manage service performance, troubleshoot delays, and track key performance indicators across multiple carriers and stakeholders. Strong professional communication skills and a deep understanding of the companys mission and operational standards are critical, as this role involves frequent provider-facing interactions, including weekly calls and monthly & quarterly data presentations.
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Monitoring ocean shipments to ensure timely departure from origin, on-time arrival to U.S. ports, and prompt final delivery to distribution centers.
- Managing exceptions related to late sailings, missed transits, and rail carrier delays.
- Tracking and analyzing KPIs tied to carrier performance and delivery accuracy, using Excel, Power BI, and query tools.
- Communicating daily through email and phone calls, as well as delivering performance presentations monthly and quarterly.
- Building strong relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure alignment with service expectations and the company mission.
This is a full-time, on-site position with the flexibility of one remote workday per week.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics.
Bachelors degree required in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, & Macros.
Proficiency in Power BI with the ability to build dashboards and familiarity with DAX expression language.
Fundamental understanding of SQL, with the ability to write and optimize queries, specifically using Empower query language.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and an ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and operations teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- International transportation or logistics experience
- Completion of certifications or coursework in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other related analytics tools.
