Objectives of this role
Developing and maintaining WordPress-based websites, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
Collaborating with clients or internal teams to understand website requirements and implement functional and efficient websites.
Customising WordPress themes and templates to meet specific project requirements.
Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to website functionality or performance.
Ensuring that websites are responsive, optimised and aligned with best practices in web development.
Your tasks:
Design, develop, and implement WordPress websites from concept to completion.
Customise and modify WordPress themes to achieve project goals.
Integrate third-party plugins and tools to enhance website features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement website requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.
Conduct website testing and optimisation for responsiveness and speed.
Provide ongoing website maintenance and support as needed.
Stay informed about WordPress updates, security best practices and industry trends.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
4+ years of demonstrable experience as a WordPress developer.
Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes and plugins.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP for WordPress development.
Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
