A machinery manufacturing client of Insight Global is searching for a Field Service Technician to join their team out of Chattanooga, TN, traveling up to 35-40% of the time (mostly domestic travel but some international). The majority of the day-to-day will consist of traveling to customer sites to commission new equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, develop repair plans and conduct preventative maintenance. Additionally, Field Service Techs educate and train their internal customer service representatives on correct procedure's and will also work with external customers to identify root causes, investigate error trends, and make proper recommendations accordingly. This individual will be provided a company vehicle as well as devices to document progress/ maintenance notes for repairs and records of customers/equipment.

- 1-3+ years of experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems
- Ability to read & interpret engineering documents, maintence instructions, and procedure manuals
- Experience commissioning equipment (preferably Electrical Systems and Components)
- Associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- Knowledge or experience reading schematic drawings
- Experience within the carpet/tufting industry
