Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for a Remote Senior Relay Protection and Studies Engineer. They'll be responsible for developing relay protection schemes and performing protective device coordination for high voltage substation projects. This includes protection coordination for equipment such as transmission lines, buses, transformers, capacitor banks, circuit breakers, and reactors. They'll be responsible for the conceptualized initial design for the projects and acting as the lead engineer on the project. An additional key responsibility will involve conducting various studies such as Short circuit studies, Arc Flash Studies, load flow studies, transmission impact and feasibility studies, and protective device coordination studies. The primary software to be utilized will be ETAP and PSLF, with additional tools including ASPEN, SKM, or PSS/E.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering

- 6-10 years of experience in relay settings & transmission power system protection studies

- PE License
