Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a talented Human Resources Manager to join a small to mid-size financial company in the Nashville, TN area. You'll be responsible for managing a wide range of HR activities, including payroll, hiring, firing, onboarding, benefits administration, office policy creation, employee engagement, PTO requests, and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Management:

o Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

o Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll data.

o Address payroll-related queries from employees.

2. Recruitment and Hiring:

o Lead recruitment efforts by creating job descriptions, posting vacancies, and conducting interviews.

o Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.

o Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations.

3. Termination and Firing:

o Manage termination processes, including exit interviews and documentation.

o Ensure adherence to legal requirements during terminations.

o Handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

4. Onboarding and Orientation:

o Develop and execute comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires.

o Facilitate orientation sessions to introduce new employees to company culture, policies, and procedures.

o Assist new hires in completing necessary paperwork.

5. Benefits Administration:

o Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

o Communicate benefit options to employees and address inquiries.

6. Office Policy Creation and Implementation:

o Draft and update company policies, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and organizational goals.

o Communicate policies effectively to employees.

7. Employee Engagement:

o Foster a positive work environment by organizing team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee surveys.

o Address employee concerns and grievances promptly.

8. PTO Requests and Leave Management:

o Process vacation, sick leave, and other time-off requests.

o Maintain accurate records of employee leave balances.

9. Performance Evaluations:

o Coordinate performance appraisal processes.

o Provide guidance to managers on performance feedback and improvement plans.

o Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for development.

Required Skills & Experience

* 3-7 years of experience within Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, etc.

* Experience using payroll systems to run employee payroll functions for multiple departments (Paychex preferred)

o Rate changes, raises, pay cycle management, etc.

* General experience with a variety of HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee reviews, talent acquisition, retention, PTO administration, Bonus tracking/payment, etc.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience with a small to mid-size company -- (50-200 employees)
