A client of Insight Global is looking for a P&C Relay Technician to sit in/around the Chattanooga area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for traveling to different client sites around Chattanooga and surrounding areas and testing, repairing, installing, and commissioning for substation protection relays. The candidate will need to be able to read and understand customer diagrams, drawings, and blueprints as well as perform tests for transformer protection systems and generator controls. Other responsibilities include testing of metering, data systems, relays, and trip circuits as well as examining and evaluating controls circuits and other related equipment. This is a travel heavy role, requiring 90% of travel Monday-Thursday to various sites within the field.
-2-4 Years of experience testing and commissioning relays for substations (SEL, Beckwith, Solid State, Electromechanical relays)
-Experience with Dobile or Obnicron Testing equipment
-The ability to travel 90% of the time to different Sites
-Protection and Controls experience with Substations
