Job Description
Day to Day:
* Responsible for development and monthly production deployments which involve requirements
gathering, Code development, Branch management, Peer Reviews, and deployments to support our global application, Capitalstream.
* 70% enhancement dev/30% new dev
* Working on more complex application/technical identification resolution, including responding to off-shift and
weekend support calls.
* Working with Java8, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Jquery, JSP, Ajax, Spring MVC framework,
SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle DB, Github, Jenkins/Github Actions, Shell scripting, Bash scripting, Velocity scripting, Junit, XML/XSL.
Typical task breakdown:
- Enhancements and/or bug fixes are assigned through Azure DevOps user story.
- Review the Functional Design Document and collaborate with business analysts for understanding.
- Develop solution and unit test code.
- Deploy code to release branch with CI/CD tools.
- Troubleshoot support tickets as they are assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
* 4+ years Java Development (Java 8 is what they are on)
* JSP Experience
* Strong SQL Experience
* Light experience with Jenkins & GitHub Actions
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide input to projects, task planning, and execution.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Junit
* Oracle SQL/PL SQL
